Closing of the “Cultural Landscapes of Europe” exhibition at the Arca in Teramo: A success that has overcome distances and created emotions

The artistic exhibition “Cultural Landscapes of Europe”, organized by the Punto Europa Consortium and the Municipality of Teramo and with the patronage of numerous relevant national and international institutions, which began at the headquarters of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, is coming to an end. and continued its exhibition journey at L’Arca di Teramo in Largo San Matteo during the last month.

Welcomed with enthusiasm and interest by authorities and citizens, the exhibition had already recorded illustrious visits during the inauguration in February at the European Parliament, including that of the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, and the former Prime Minister Mario Draghi.

“In Teramo,” declares the President of the Punto Europa Consortium, Filippo Lucci, “the exhibition of artists of the caliber of Gennaro della Monica, Carlo D’Aloisio da Vasto, Licia Galizia and Michelangelo Lupone has once again demonstrated the intense participation and public sensitivity, underlining the cultural importance of the event, in celebration of our rich artistic heritage, continuing to attract a large audience of authorities and art enthusiasts.”

“Among the many images that I collected on this long journey, I remember with particular emotion” continues Lucci, “the collaboration with the Italian Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired of Ascoli Piceno to which we transported some musical sculptural works so that they could be caressed by non-experts. sighted people, who were moved by the transformation into music of the caresses given to the works and into actual mental images.

Finally, it was a great honor to welcome, yesterday, the visit of the Chief Prosecutor of the Republic Ettore Picardi, who I was pleased to discover was a profound enthusiast of the history of art and of Gennaro della Monica. These and many other moments further enriched the meaning and impact of the event, creating emotional and intellectual connections with our audience.”

“Cultural Landscapes of Europe” was able to involve and fascinate visitors, offering a journey through the different artistic expressions that characterize European cultural landscapes. The exhibition was a point of meeting and reflection, capable of stimulating interest in the protection and valorization of our heritage, a bridge between different cultures and an idea of ​​brotherhood under the sign of art that distinguishes us but unites us .
