FRATTA POLESINE (Rovigo) – “Dear friends and supporters of Faedesfa, this is not a farewell, but a goodbye”. Thus begins the letter that the Polesine charity Faedesfa Non Profit sent to those who supported it in Polesine and in many Italian cities. In just a few lines, the history, commitment and passion for volunteering put into practice in over 10 years of history have been encapsulated.

A path that is preparing to end in 2024, even if the desire to do good will remain in the hearts of the volunteers and the president Andrea Pezzuolowho have chosen to temporarily interrupt the journey begun in 2011. But the signs left by solidarity will continue.

The volunteers of Faedesfa Non Profit announce that the next few months will still be full of donations. We continue – after the successful fundraising campaign last February – with the “Children’s Garden” project at the San Giovanni Bosco nursery school in Lusia (Ro). The construction sites are continuing to ensure that students can enjoy a renewed and stimulating outdoor space as soon as possible: new water points, arrangement of the fence and new flooring.

For this summer 2024, there will be great support and hugs for Sophie. The young volunteer from Faedesfa suffering from the rare Rohhad syndrome will spend the warm months at the seaside. This year too, Sophie and her family will be able to count on the closeness of our Association. The little girl and her mother will be at the Lidi Ferraresi for a healing holiday.

The Polesine Association also announces an important donation in support of Anna and Matteo, the two young brothers from Polesine, marked by a tragic fate that quickly left them orphans of both parents. “From 2017 to today, more than 24 thousand euros have been raised for Anna and Matteo through private donations, but mostly thanks to the sensitivity of their mother’s colleagues, employees of the Municipality of Rovigo through the Payroll Giving form of fundraising. Funds that will now be invested by our Association in two identical policies for the two children who will then be able to use them when they reach adulthood” the announcement by Marina Faedo, councilor of Faedesfa Non Profit.

And it didn’t end here. At the end of the year Faedesfa will donate an important donation to invest once again in the future of young people in the area. “We believe and hope that in all these years the actions, large and small, that we have carried out have made the seed of solidarity germinate and reproduce. A heartfelt thank you to all those who helped us and believed in us” the moving comment of the president of Faedesfa Non Profit, Andrea Pezzuolo.
