Cesena, hit by a train near the station: Bologna-Ancona line severely slowed down

Around 12pm on June 15th a fatal collision occurred on the tracks near the train station. Rail traffic was interrupted to allow investigations by the competent authorities. These are the updates from Trenitalia Trenitalia at 1.15pm. Traffic is still suspended in Cesena, the intervention of the Judicial Authority is underway. High Speed, Intercity and Regional trains may experience delays. Regional trains may be subject to route limitations. Intercity train directly involved with a longer journey time of more than 60 minutes:• IC 606 Bari Centrale (5.55am) – Milano Centrale (3.30pm)The FR 8814 Lecce train (5.55am) – Milano Centrale (2.30pm) is stopped in Rimini from 12.31. The FR 9806 Bari Centrale (6.35) – Milano Centrale (1.30) train has been stopped since 12.29 in Bologna Centrale, where there is a change of rolling stock departing from platform 6 west, to allow the continuation of the journey. The FR 9805 Torino Porta Nuova (9.10) – Lecce (18.50) train has stopped in Imola since 12.23. The FR 8807 Milano Centrale (11.35 ) – Taranto (7.46pm) is stopped at Bologna Centrale from 12.50pm. The train IC 607 Milano Porta Garibaldi (9.10am) – Lecce (8.40pm) is stopped at Bologna Centrale from 12.00pm. train IC 1545 Milano Centrale (10:00) – Lecce (22:07) has stopped at Bologna Centrale since 12:24.
