This was asked by Regional Councilor Cammarano (M5S) who presented a question: “Fonderie Pisano, what is the Region waiting for to take action on the Fratte plant? The Region’s intervention is urgent and cannot be postponed.”
POLITICALLY
SALERNO – “What happens in Fratte is unacceptable. The Pisano foundries continue to produce emissions that jeopardize the health of citizens, without any consideration for the protests of the population and the requirements of the public authorities. On June 5th they arrived atHealth and Life Association reports regarding new emissions accompanied by nauseating miasmas coming from the factory in via dei Greci. Over a year ago, in response to one of my question times, the Environment Councillor declared that it was necessary to proceed with the closure of the activities of the Pisano foundries and possible relocation. He was also of the same opinion president De Luca who in March 2023 argued in no uncertain terms that the Foundries should be closed. Many months have passed since then but nothing has changed. As stated by theHealth and Life Association there is “a scientific report that clarifies in an objective and incontrovertible manner that Pisano represents a danger to public health”, yet everything remains as it is”. Declares the regional group leader of the 5 Star Movement Michele Cammarano.
“We do not give in to inaction. I have submitted a new question to the regional council to find out at what stage the announced procedures concerning i plans to close the Fratte plant and its possible relocation. A regional intervention is urgent and cannot be postponed. We must protect the health of citizens and we must do it immediately”.
