LMonday 17 June, at 10 am, the Convention/Framework Agreement between the University of Foggia – Department of Agricultural Sciences, Food, Natural Resources and Engineering (Dafne) and the Bosco Incoronata Regional Natural Park – Municipality of Foggia for collaboration in research and experimentation activities in the agri-environmental field.

The mayor of Foggia will participate in the presentation Maria Aida Episcopothe deputy mayor with responsibility for the Environment Lucia Aprile, the director of Dafne Agostino Sevithe professors of the Faculty of Agriculture Massimo Monteleone and Maurizio Gioiosa, the municipal councilor with responsibility for the Incoronata Park Francesco Strippoli and the Puglia representative of the Wikimedia Foundation Ferdinando Traversa.

“The Agreement between the two bodies, carried out through the municipal administration – they say from Palazzo di Città -, will specifically allow: research activities of common interest aimed at the development of ‘nature based’ management techniques for the protection and the conservation of the ecological functionality of natural and agricultural ecosystems, also in the context of land protection interventions, such as environmental restoration/requalification, protection of biodiversity, soil protection, reduction of the impact resulting from anthropic activities, valorisation of the components of the landscape, etc., according to rigorous and coherent criteria of environmental compatibility and ecological sustainability”.

And again: “Training activities and implementation of practical-applicative internships, school construction sites; theoretical-practical courses, dissemination initiatives on issues related to the complex of activities carried out; publication of degree theses, as well as the activation of scholarships, on topics at the crossroads between naturalistic and agricultural topics to be carried out in the protected area; promotion of activities for the dissemination of scientific and technological culture in the area as well as any possible initiative regarding technical-scientific and/or training activities; joint participation in regional, national, European and international calls and research programs, with particular attention to the framework programs of the European Commission”.
