Giuseppe Cruciani, Bebe Vio, Roberto Vannacci, Valter Veltroni, are just some of the names who will arrive in the city
VITERBO – Viterbo and Bagnoregio will host the fifth edition of the Shadow Festival, double location for the event created by the police officer Alessandro Maurizi, director of Ombre Festival. Presentations of books, music, theater and convivial meetings will fill Piazza della Repubblica, Piazza San Lorenzo and from this year also Piazza San Faustino, from 26 June to 14 July.
The mayor of Viterbo will present the many events Chiara Frontini, the councilor for culture Alfonso Antoniozzi and Alessandro Maurizi (in the photos below), with them, the other institutions involved, the new commissioner Luigi Silipo at his first press conference, the commander of the Financial Police Carlo Pasqualithe president of the Province Alessandro Romoli and the regional councilors Enrico Panunzi And Daniele Sabatini.
“It’s one of the most important events of the year – began the mayor Frontini who took the opportunity to welcome the new police commissioner – the city and we with it, we are aiming for a lot. With the choice to involve different squares it will be an embrace of a large part of the historic center. We will talk about legality between San Pellegrino, Piazza della Repubblica and San Faustino, places on which the institutions are focusing in terms of controls. A festival that doubles in duration, thanks to the many partners who made its success possible. Thanks also to the State Police and the Viterbo Police Headquarters”.
“Being a policeman is not a job but a lifestyle and the colleagues who have dedicated themselves to Ombre festival testify to this. It is not just a festival but it is also an opportunity for the territory and those who live there” added the commissioner.
There are many names present: Giuseppe Cruciani, Bebe Vio, Valter Veltroni, Nicola Gratteri, Alessandra Mussolini, General Vannacci, Sigfrido Ranucci, Serena Bortone, Minister Piantedosi and many others. A part will also be dedicated to food with the food blogger and chef Lorenzo Biagiarelli, the vegetable cuisine of Fabiola Di Sotto and the pastrychef Damiano Carraratogether with theater and music and solidarity dinner.
On June 27th appointment with the Financial police which will celebrate the 250th anniversary of its foundation with two events. “For us it is a matter of prestige to be present – underlined the provincial commander Pasquali – we will talk about the protection of Made in Italy with other local actors, entrepreneurs and institutions and followed by the concert of the institutional band”.

This is the meaning of culture, everyone contributes to creating it.” The conclusions of councilor Antoniozzi who left the floor to the creator of the event:

This is the leitmotif that Ombre Festival has chosen for the 2024 edition – declares Maurizi – this is what we want to do: bring light where there is darkness, through meetings and friendship, to open ourselves up to the beauty of our city and sharing ”.
