Ragusa, Chief Commissioner Rosa Cappello reaches the retirement milestone



The Ragusa Police Headquarters said goodbye to Chief Commissioner “Rosa Cappello”, who has reached the retirement milestone and who left the service after “many years” spent in the State Police family, most recently as an official in charge of the very delicate Cabinet Office , the nerve center of the Police Headquarters.






Modicana, Chief Commissioner Cappello began her career way back in 1990 when she joined the State Police as an Inspector, arriving in Ragusa and holding the position of Coordinator of the Operations Centre.



In 1994 she asked to be admitted to attend the course as a Scientific Police specialist, which she passed brilliantly and was eventually assigned to this capital as Head of the Provincial Scientific Police Cabinet of the Ragusa Police Headquarters.



Honorably leaving her place to other “colleagues”, in 2001 she went to serve at the PD police station in Modica, where she moved to the roles of officials and remained there until 2018, before returning again to Ragusa to serve to the Cabinet Office in an exemplary manner until the day of retirement.

It was a delicate and deeply moving moment and the police commissioner of the Province of Ragusa Vincenzo Trombadore, in his farewell speech, recalled the attachment to duty of Rosa Cappello, known by her friends as “Rosanna”, esteemed by all her colleagues, both as a person and as a policewoman, who never backed down from a service or a sudden activity, never lacking in her collaboration and availability among all her colleagues and in particular the Cabinet Office whose contribution in the daily provincial coordination activity has allowed all services to be carried out in an exemplary manner, thanks also to the skills acquired in the field over many years of work.

Many colleagues were present, some of whom recalled some episodes of the many years spent together in this province, underlining the importance of the friendship and affection that is created between colleagues, relationships that go beyond ordinary service.



During the intense ceremony, the Police Commissioner addressed heartfelt words of gratitude for having dedicated his life to the service of the State and the community, working in the daily affirmation of the principles of legality, in the firm belief that even in retirement his mission as a policewoman she will also continue under other guises.



At the end of the meeting, the police commissioner of Ragusa recommended “Rosanna” to thank her family members on behalf of the State Police for having understood and shared, over the years, the commitments faced by her “colleague”, wishing everyone well, ‘always teaches the moral principles that are the foundation of the State Police.
