Ragusa, Firrincieli (m5S) reports: “The local public transport service is incomplete”

“The local public transport contract, which will start on Monday, opens up to a series of questions. Especially with regards to the lack of service provided to the districts where the number of residents is substantial”. The councilor of the Five Star movement, Sergio Firrincieli (in the photo), said this during the last session of the Ragusa civic assembly.

“We have the route that connects Ragusa to the Donnafugata castle – underlines the five-star exponent – but not the one that leads from the city to Marina or San Giacomo. And, again, if I holiday or reside in the Gatto Corvino, Fontana Nuova, Cerasella, Camemi districts, near Marina, how can I get around given that there is no public service I can count on? A TPL like this is a incomplete TPL. And it is surprising that councilor Gurrieri, who claims to have prepared everything carefully, did not worry about guaranteeing an adequate service also for citizens residing in these territorial areas. Among other things, I would like to underline that those who use the Ragusa-Marina route are mainly young people or the weakest groups, i.e. those who do not have a means of transport at their disposal. And why should we make them pay a significant ticket when, instead, Marina is part of the municipal territorial area of Ragusa and therefore should be served at the same cost as an urban route ticket? All questions that deserve to be answered precisely in conjunction with the launch of local public transport”.
