With just over three million euros, Hellas Verona acquired ownership of the Bottagisio sports center in Via Perloso this morning, June 14th. «The sports facility will be renovated to better guarantee the daily activity of the yellow-blue youth sector», said the Verona club which will therefore adapt the Bottagisio to its needs.
The move definitively closes another page of the failed Chievo Verona. In fact, it was the Clivense company that managed the sports center located between the Adige and the Camuzzoni Canal in Verona. Last month, Sergio Pellissier’s Clivense won the brands and name of Chievo Verona at auction. Name that will revive from the next Serie D championship.
However, another legacy of Luca Campedelli’s Chievo Verona, the Bottagisio sports center, remained to be auctioned. An auction was held for that facility this morning, in which at first it seemed Pellissier’s new Chievo also wanted to participate. The club, however, backed out, leaving only two clubs competing for Bottagisio: Hellas and Vigasio. The starting bid was close to 2.3 million euros and Hellas won it by offering around a million euros more.
