End of season: Ski Club Gallarate 4 of 7
Another one has ended successful season for the Gallarate Ski Clubthan to his 98th year of activity continues to be a point of reference for enthusiasts from across the province.
The Saturday ski coursededicated to young skiers elementary and middle schoolsnow in its 39th edition, has brought success 80 children on the snow of Piani di Bobbiowhile the competitive team took part in the Verbano Cusio Ossola circuit, where our athletes aged 8 to 16 compete with the best ski clubs in the area. Lombard snows, instead for the category Young, athletes aged 16 and over, with participation in the Skirace Cup circuit.
Starting from the Baby and Puppies category, Jacopo Puricelli, son of coach Arturo, he earned a place for participation in the Regional Championship and above all in the National Final of the Youth Trophyan event in which future World Cup champions participate.
In the Children category, coach Arturo Puricelli, our athletes Anna and Elena Cosentino, Luca Tablecloths, Richard Brescians and Aaron Sartori they proudly carried the colors of the Ski Club in circuit races. Anna Cosentino, in particular, boasts an excellent ninth place at the Domobianca Trophy in Gigante and a tenth place at the Bodo Skishop Trophy in Macugnaga. Everyone then qualified for the Regional Championship, which brings together Lombard skiing excellence.
The results were also excellent Youth team, than under the guidance of the coach Vito Galli, participated well 7 athletes at the Skirace circuit Cup. They are Noemi and Mario Crespi, Matilda Villa, Francis Tablecloths, Gabriel Tordella, Andrew Fumagalli and Alberto Perotta who were joined, after a period of stoppage, by Silvia Burners. Well done to our young people, who with perseverance and tenacity have managed to combine school, university and work with sport.
Finally, the breeding ground of tomorrow’s champions pre-competition group, team strongly supported by the coach Andrea Malamanwhich includes seven highly motivated athletes: Giulia Bisaccia, Maria Victoria Alone, Alice Malaman, Tea Martinazzoli, Eros Perdicaro, Carlotta Frattini and Niccolo Pricolo they skied in the VCO resorts, not missing an opportunity to try their hand at off-piste, made possible by the heavy snowfall at the end of the season. To crown their journey, Alice Malaman and Maria Vittoria Sola participated in the Giant slalom held on 6 April in Macugnaga, placing second and tenth respectively.
FROM ATHLETES TO MASTERS – Honorable mentions go to Gabriele Tordellawho became Master in April and ad Andrea Fumagalli, who passed the Selections and will begin the Masters Course. It adds to them Edoardo Porrati that he has already been a Master since last year. Truly a great satisfaction for who they are grew up within the Ski Club, of which they have been a part since they were little more than children.
Finally, the Provincial Championshipheld in Chiesa Valmalenco on 23 and 24 March, graduated our athletes Jacopo Puricelli, Elena Cosentino, Anna Cosentino and Luca Tovaglieri provincial champions for the slalom discipline special, and for the discipline of giant Giulia Bisaccia, Jacopo Puricelli, Riccardo Bresciani, Elena Cosentino, Noemi Crespi and Gabriele Tordella. Worth mentioning are the second and third places of Alice Malaman and Maria Vittoria Sola in the giant slalom in the Baby category.
