CREMONA – There are 117 companies reached with the project, 12 with which the Convention was signed and 145 disabled workers registered with the law, 68 met in two years. These are the main numbers of the Ponti project (Employment opportunities in the territory and in companies), of the Sol.Co Cremona Consortium, presented during the final conference which took place at Civico 81 in via Bonomelli.

The Ponti project was born in 2022 with the aim of promoting and implementing the use of the so-called ‘Article 14 Convention’. After two years of work, it can be said that the objective has been achieved, in synergy with Mestieri Lombardia, Consorzio Arcobaleno and Cooperativa Igea and with the contribution of the Cariplo Foundation, and the support of the Disabled Employment Policies Service of the Province of Cremona, following three actions which saw the involvement of as many protagonists. The first action was to inform and promote the convention dedicated to companies; the second, coordination of a working group by social cooperation; and the third, taking charge and supporting job placement for workers with disabilities.

A broad network of collaboration that has led to a significant increase in agreements signed and hiring of disabled people with particular fragilities in the Cremona and Crema area. But not only. A path that laid the foundations on which to take further steps. In fact, the subjects involved in the working table, looking to the future, have shared mutual commitments to continue pursuing the set general objective, i.e. the increase in the employment placements of disabled subjects registered under Law 68, also through the art. . 14. Aware, thanks to the Ponti project, that article 14 can go from being mandatory to becoming a tool within a win-win strategy: for businesses, cooperatives and the territory.
