The ‘night circular’ is back from today, a bus service that connects the city’s neighborhoods with the centre, which will remain active until 15 September on both weekdays and holidays. “A service established to meet the needs of citizens, tourists and workers who have to travel until one in the morning – explains the mayor Pierluigi Peracchini – This initiative offers an additional opportunity to move around the center and the various neighborhoods without using the car, improving the organization of transport in our city. The shuttle was already introduced last year in an experimental form and we propose it again given the important use that has been made of it. Spezia is a lively city, with many events by thousands of tourists every year and it is the administration’s duty to work to improve and strengthen services”. A measure taken by the Municipality in agreement with ATC Esercizio precisely in view of the start of the season, which this year will be particularly rich in events and aims to facilitate urban mobility by allowing everyone to easily reach the center and return home without having to the use of private vehicles and therefore not congesting city traffic.
It will follow the following route: Pegazzano, via Chiodo, Canaletto, Migliarina, Mazzetta, via Chiodo, Chiappa and its return. “After last year’s success – says councilor Kristopher Casati – we confirm this line with the aim of rethinking urban mobility, including at night, accelerating the ecological transition. This service is very important to guarantee, as well as citizens, a support for the many tourists”.
