Isernia: Four expulsion orders issued for foreign citizens, two reported for the crime of illegal possession of weapons

Isernia Police Headquarters

In the early afternoon of 12 June 2024, the Flying Squad of the Isernia Police Headquarters, alerted by the Operations Room, intervened to track down a BMW station wagon with a foreign license plate, whose occupants, in a suspicious attitude, had been noticed inside the “In Piazza” shopping center intent on collecting donations for a claimed charity; at the sight of the security personnel, they had hastily moved away.

Having identified the car, the operators managed to identify the four people on board (two men and two women of Romanian nationality), who, given their uncooperative conduct and the absence of plausible justifications for their presence in the capital, were were taken to the Flying Squad offices for further investigations.

On the driver’s side of the car, a metal golf club was found, while on the passenger side the operators found a switchblade hidden in the door storage compartment and a wooden club; everything was duly subjected to
seizure, and the two men, who occupied the driver’s side and the front passenger’s side, were referred, jointly, to the Judicial Authority for the crime of illegally carrying weapons or objects capable of offending.

At the conclusion of the Flying Squad’s activities, the four subjects were notified of the same number of compulsory deportation orders issued by the Police Commissioner of Isernia, by virtue of which the same subjects will no longer be able to return to this Municipality for a period of one year, under penalty of the violation of the art. 76 Legislative Decree No. 159/2011, which entails imprisonment from 6 to 18 months and a fine of up to 10,000 euros.

In the past, the subjects have been referred to the AG for crimes against property in some provinces of Northern Italy, such as Venice, La Spezia and Varese.
