A new CT scan has been activated in the Radiology department of Ragusa

After the positive outcome of the tests, The latest generation CT scan is operational in the Radiology department of the “Giovanni Paolo II” hospital in Ragusa.

The investment, made by the ASP on the basis of adhesion to a Consip Framework Agreement, falls within mission 6 of the PNRR – National Recovery and Resilience Plan (‘Large Equipment’ component), which has already seen activation, in advance on the established times, of two computerized tomography machines at the “Maggiore-Baglieri” hospital in Modica.

The equipment installed at the “Giovanni Paolo II” in recent days was put into operation by Dr.’s team. Francesco Floridia, director of the Complex Diagnostic Imaging Structure, and has the aim of producing images of the head and body through computer reconstruction of the X-ray transmission data taken at different angles and planes.

“This is a cutting-edge tool – says the Extraordinary Commissioner of the ASP of Ragusa, Dr. Giuseppe Drago – who implements diagnostic imaging and, consequently, contributes to the technological development of the equipment supplied to the Company. The objective is to make tools available to citizens that are capable of carrying out detailed and highly precise examinations.”
