Interviewed by VociDiSport.net, Jaap Stam he expressed himself thus on the arrival of Paulo Fonseca as the new coach of Milan. The former Rossoneri defender then also commented on the arrival of Alessandro Nesta to the Monza.
FONSECA AT MILAN – «Excellent choice by Milan. He is a top-level coach who has always made his teams play well. Fonseca has all it takes to bring Milan back to its former glory».
NESTA AT MONZA – «I’m happy for Alessandro because he is a fantastic person, as well as being an excellent coach. I am convinced that Monza was right to choose him because he is a prepared coach who will make his boys play well. Then, not indifferently, he was called by an old mutual friend of ours, Adriano Galliani, who will certainly give him confidence and not put too much pressure on him. MY FUTURE IN ITALY AS A COACH? – «It’s never too early for Italy, a country where I had a great time as a footballer, playing in two very important teams, meeting many fantastic people and extremely high-level opponents. Serie A, after all, was, and still is, one of the most beautiful and competitive championships in the world and if my family had not had the desire to return to Holland, where I ended my career as a footballer, I would certainly have played more long in Italy.
