Benevento

The UDC national secretary Lorenzo Cesa has appointed Antonio Verga as provincial commissioner of the party in Benevento. This is what a note released by the UDC reports. Verga, a geologist, is currently a member of the Geotechnical and Seismic Commission of the Regional Order of Geologists of Campania. She is a very active personality in the world of volunteering (she presided over the local Pro Loco of Benevento until 2022) and is strongly committed on an artistic and cultural level, having been president of the “Nicola Sala” State Conservatory of Music in Benevento and among the founders of numerous organizations in the artistic and musical field such as ISBES (Symphonic Institution of Benevento and Sannio). “In this delicate historical moment that we are going through, there is a need for everyone’s civil, social and cultural commitment to try to stem the authoritarian tendencies that are bringing wars, destruction and deaths of many innocent people, women, men and children to the world”, stated the new provincial commissioner Verga who explains: “For this reason I felt in good conscience that I could not refuse this specific call from the Hon. Lorenzo Cesa – whom I sincerely thank here for the trust placed – in the certainty that this heavy burden can only be carried out with the support of citizens who want to commit themselves so that peace, tranquility and the common good return to the world. We thus jointly resume with the UDC a common path, to propose a political home to all the popular, the liberals, the moderates, the Italian reformists and the citizens who want it, a common commitment, to try to overcome the current political system, social and economic to re-establish a balance of peace and well-being of citizens”,
