The second edition of “AbbaBIT” begins in Sassari

In Sassari the second edition of the event dedicated to experimental and electronic music. Appointment on 27 and 28 June at the Tavolara Pavilion

SASSARI – The “AbbaBIT” exhibition returns with its second edition. At sunset, on the terrace of the Tavolara Pavilion, in the heart of Sassari, the twenty-sixth edition of the Abbabula festival offers for the second consecutive year, “AbbaBIT”, a journey into the world of electronic and experimental music, with guests of national and international importance. Pierpaolo Vacca, Dancalia, Teresa Virginia Salis and Puta Caso will be the protagonists of the first evening on 27 June 2024 at 8 pm, same time for 28 June 2024, when it will be the turn of Federica Lecca, Allee der Kosmonauten, Was and Gold Mass. A packed program that includes an “extra” international appointment on July 4th in Sassari at the Orti di San Pietro with the artist Rodrigo Gallardo.

The first evening at the end of June opens with Pierpaolo Vacca and his traditional accordion lent to modernity; continues with Dancalia, born from the meeting of Giuseppe Cappio, Costantino Pulina and Mattia Schintu and with TVS acronym for Teresa Virginia Salis and her experimentation with atmospheres; Puta Caso closes the performance; Carol Rollo’s musical project. The second evening sees alternating live sets by Federica Lecca, who opened the world of launeddas to the female universe; Allee der Kosmonauten, electronic music project by Massimiliano Achenza and Stefano Idili; Was, pseudonym of the multi-instrumentalist Andrea Cherchi, an artist in continuous exploration. The return to Sardinia of Emanuela Ligarò aka Gold Mass, physicist and expert in experimental acoustics, is highly anticipated with her third EP with a live set with a strong emotional impact. On July 4th Rodrigo Gallardo, Chilean composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer will warm up the Orti di San Pietro with an evening of electronic folk with sounds of Andean and Latin American origins. The “AbbaBIT” exhibition was born from the collaboration between Le Ragazze Terribili and the Nivola Foundation, the soul of the Tavolara Pavilion. The artistic direction is by Barbara Vargiu who, together with Francesco Medda Arrogalla and Giuseppe Bulla, curated the line-up of the artists of AbbaBIT#2024.
