Naples, 13 June. (askanews) – Illustrate the new green and environmental sustainability initiatives promoted in Campania. These are two of the objectives of the States General on the Environment in Campania, promoted by the Region as part of the Green Med Expo&Symposium; the three days which takes place at the Mostra d’Oltremare in Naples. Among the great innovations of the initiative is the “Villages of Health and Wellbeing” project, where environmental issues are intertwined with those of the development of areas particularly marked by depopulation and abandonment. Thus the president of the Campania region Vincenzo De Luca: “This project which concerns the villages of the internal areas is beautiful. We imagined this project in the meantime to counteract the depopulation processes of those areas, but also to encourage the aggregation of small municipalities. They joined over 350 small municipalities are involved in this project, it’s an incredible thing, so we will also refinance with other resources. The project consists of getting together to make projects, so to speak, 10-15 municipalities at a time for the cultural and environmental valorization of historical traditions. , of food and wine traditions, this also means giving strength to the municipalities of the internal areas”. The choice of these areas made up of small realities that preserve pre-existing historical, architectural, landscape and above all values well preserved by the communities, was born with the aim of recovering attractiveness by highlighting all the potential and favoring a network organization between the ” villages”.
