Ancona all’Alba returns for the third consecutive year, the morning run/walk that starts from the Passetto after sunrise and crosses the city, up to the Duomo and back.
The appointment is for Sunday 23 June at 5am under the Monument and, obviously, punctuality is recommended to see the sun rise from the steps before departure.
The event, organized by Stamura Ancona in collaboration with the Municipality, includes a 6 kilometer non-competitive route, for citizens and athletes of all ages to run and walk together. The aim is to promote a healthy lifestyle through outdoor movement, encouraging sociality and citizen participation.
Registration
To register and collect the event package you can contact the Sef Stamura athletics secretariat at the Conti School Camp – Palombare Ancona area, starting today Friday 14 June, every Monday and Friday from 5pm to 7pm, or Sunday 23 June starting from 5 in the morning at the Passetto in Piazza IV Novembre.
The registration fee is 10 euros for adults and 5 euros for children and teenagers up to 12 years old. The fee includes: technical t-shirt to wear on the morning of the race, croissant and bottle of water. 0.50 offered by Acqua Frasassi and medical assistance (an ambulance will be present).

Every event that becomes a fixed event for the city, as in the case of Ancona all’Alba, is an important opportunity to outline not only the urban but also the tourist identity of the capital. This run/walk, which starts from the sea and passes through many of the symbolic places and places in the heart of the city, allows participants to appreciate its beauty beyond the traditional itineraries, with the added value of the enthusiasm and liveliness that only sporting events are capable of creating. Thanks therefore to the organizers and to all those who will participate: citizens, visitors and tourists, who we are happy to welcome with the wonderful spectacle of the sunrise over the Passetto sea.
Changes to traffic and parking
To allow the smooth execution of the event, the following measures relating to traffic and parking will be adopted on 23 June 2024:
PIAZZA IV NOVEMBRE:
prohibition on parking and vehicle stops from 00.00 to 09.00 on the entire square (central car park);
no parking and stops on both sides from 00.00 to 09.00 in the parking area between the monument-lift.
prohibition on parking and stopping and traffic ban from 05.00 to 09.00 in the stretch between the rear and lateral parts of the monument;
no parking and stops from 05.00 to 09.00 in front of the Passetto restaurant;
VIA THAON DE REVEL:
from 05.00 to 09.00 no parking and stopping along the entire street including rest areas;
P.ZA IV NOVEMBRE – VIA BAINSIZZA:
from 05.00 to 09.00 no traffic in the direction of Piscina del Passetto. Vehicles coming from Viale della Vittoria will have to turn right towards Via Bainsizza;
VIALE DELLA VITTORIA ascending stretch between P.za Diaz and Via Bainsizza:
from 05.00 to 09.00 no parking and stopping;
VIALE DELLA VITTORIA descending stretch between Piazza IV Novembre and Via Baracca:
from 06.00 to 09.00 traffic ban;
prohibition on parking and stopping from 00.00 to 09.00;
VIALE VITTORIA descending stretch between Via Baracca and C.so Amendola:
from 6.00 am ban on vehicular traffic during the passage of the competitors;
VIALE VITTORIA pedestrian gates:
during the transit phase of the competitors all the pedestrian crossing gates present along the Avenue will be closed to traffic; access regulated by organization staff is permitted in the via Corridoni gate and in the via Bianchi gate;
VIA BARACCA intersection VIA VOLTERRA:
traffic ban from 5.00 am to 9.00 am with the obligation to turn right towards Via Corridoni; the intersection will be manned by organization staff to allow the transit of ambulances headed to Salesi;
AMENDOLA COURSE:
ban on vehicular traffic from 06.00 until the passage of all competitors. The ban will also affect the following intersections: via Chiesa, via Rismondo, via Filzi, via Battisti (with vertical signs indicating the obligation to turn left towards via Maratta), via de Bosis, via Cadorna;
parked vehicles will not be able to continue driving;

reversal of vehicular traffic, vehicles will have to proceed in the direction of via Pizzecolli;
SALESI HOSPITAL
for all those who have to go to the Salesi Hospital, starting from 05.00, the permitted access route is the following: viale della Vittoria – via Corridoni.
