Samuele Uguccioni rightly dared in Mocaiana di Gubbio (PG), but the courage of the standard bearer of the Allievi SCD Alma Juventus team was unfortunately not rewarded with a top placing. Having entered second position on the finish line, but with a small margin from the chasing group, Uguccioni was in fact reabsorbed at 150 meters and ultimately concluded in seventeenth place.
Also preceding him at the finish line was Mirko Sgherri, fifteenth, and shortly after the two of them Tommaso Buscaglia and Matteo Magnoni arrived. The latter was not particularly lucky, having been slowed down by a broken spoke on the front wheel and a puncture on the rear. However, the work carried out by the Fano team of DS Filippo Beltrami and Samuele Mancinelli was positive, with Alessandro Baldelli and Tommaso Arduini creating a generous action.
Further back, Edoardo Tesei, about a minute behind the winner Andrea Gabriele Alessiani of the Zero24 Cycling Team, while Youssef and Omar Dahani withdrew. Same race scene for the rookies of DS Gabriele Gorini, who in this always very popular and competitive Umbrian classic were divided between 1st and 2nd year. Among the 1st Years, the best result for the boys of SCD Alma Juventus Fano is the twelfth place of Diego Giannetti, while Riccardo Agostini (who will defend the colors of the Marche selection on Sunday 16 June) and Simone Ringhini finished in the group. Also in the group are Marco Amadori and Edoardo Smacchia among the 2nd Years, where Kevin Piccioli was forced to abandon.
The Fano rookies subsequently faced the new event of the All Around Multidisciplinary Trophy, this time on stage at the Sant’Egidio alla Vibrata Kartodromo. On an anomalous, but very suggestive and stimulating route with twenty laps to complete and a sprint every five which offered 5, 3, 2 and 1 point respectively, among the 1st Years excellent second place of the day in the standings for Agostini, third for Ringhini, sixth for Giannetti and seventh for Federico Pogliaghi and third among the 2nd Years for Marco Amadori. In the general ranking, however, the provisional record goes to Simone Ringhini, who had finished seventh in the first MTB test. Finally, forced rest for the Giovanissimi of DS Giovanni Ambrosini, who if it had not been for the cancellation of the event would have had to return to compete in San Mauro Pascoli (FC) one week after the scheduled break weekend. Finally, it should be noted that on Wednesday 19th the students Mirko Sgherri, Samuele Uguccioni, Alessandro Baldelli and Tommaso Buscaglia will be at the starting line of the Italian time trial championship in Grosseto. Andrea Antonioni should also have been with them, despite him being absent due to the after-effects of the serious fall he suffered in training.
