REGGIO EMILIA – It will be a weekend of competitions at the Just Climb climbing gym! in Reggio. On Saturday 15 June the facility in via Caduti delle Reggiane will host the Italian paraclimbing championship, with over thirty athletes with disabilities from all over Italy. The athletes will be divided into categories B (blind), AL and AU (upper and lower limb amputees). Qualifying starts at 10am. From 5pm the finals, then the awards.
Sunday 16th will see the Italian Speed championship. The fastest athletes in Italy will compete. Also competing is the World Champion, Matteo Zurloni. It promises to be a truly interesting competition full of twists and turns, in which the athletes of the Olympic Team will be the protagonists (including the reigning Italian champions Ludovico Fossali and Beatrice Colli), the new recruits of the national youth team, who are stocking numerous and important medals in the international field, and the recently proclaimed under 20 champions, eager to shine in the major championship too.
The qualifying rounds will begin at 4pm (first for men, then for women), while the finals will take place at 5.30pm. Public access to both competitions will be free.
