In the end it really happened: after the social growth of the last thirty years, Puglia was chosen to host the intergovernmental forum. A three-day maturity test which could be the long-awaited pass to allow local industries to take the decisive step forward towards success. And to do this we could start from the controversies raised all over the world in recent days.
We started by questioning security and public order and then analyzed the differences between tourist areas compared to the urban ones in the previous forums. There is also space for logistical and traffic organizations between green areas and red areas that overlook the sea on one side and agricultural land on the other, up to the serious statements made by CNN about Puglia.
Thus the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of the summit quickly transformed into a broad international showcase. Also, and above all, for local companies who now have the opportunity to promote all the industrial sectors that have been involved in the strategic renewal of the region for years.
How can the convening of the G7 reward an entire region? Creating routes in an area with a privileged position, strategically positioned between East and West, is not easy. But we must not forget that the achievement of a high production capacity over time occurred thanks to social evolution, the foresight and resistance of the founders of the industrial sector.
The holding of the G7 is therefore an international spotlight on a territory which, not only due to its geographical peculiarities, has managed to build a solid industrial system based on research and innovation. Relationships with universities, national connections between entrepreneurs and foresight: to take advantage of this moment of spotlight it is necessary not to stop. Continue that path of conjunction and relations between the Italian and international industrial world by promoting the financing of research projects favorable to the development of the territory, in order to intercept the best graduates or scholars in the field or science of interest and be able to consolidate the image and the social consideration of Puglia and its activity.
Valuing this event, including controversies, means promoting the “Industria felix”, gathering under a noble hat the companies ready to trigger an ideological and economic engine towards a process of stabilization of the local industrial culture. How? Supporting ideas, projects and development with the aim of creating an increasingly competitive economic society. The value of commitment must be oriented above all towards the innovation of forms of intervention, a key theme in the redefinition of roles between the public and private fields. And to do this it is necessary to dialogue with civil society to develop solutions to complex problems. Define the role of partnerships in designing actions that can be effective, the harmonization and coordination of different social, technical and professional fields to respond to the difficulty of contemporary challenges.
An ambitious and competitive model, structured in the possibilities deriving from the independent position of companies. An ideal third party in the negotiation between society and economic power, credible and reliable subjects both in terms of dialogue with civil society and at a political level, such as to be able to play an important strategic role in identifying and directing precise actions to address the problems of present, but who consciously look to the future.
