GUIDONIA – Tragedy on the Gra, Albuccione mourning for Enrico Colapicchioni

His name was Enrico Colapicchioni, he was 54 years old and had grown up in the Albuccione, Guidonia Montecelio neighborhood.

He is the victim of the tragic road accident which occurred at dawn yesterday, Thursday 13 June, on the Grande Raccordo Anulare in which a 21-year-old boy admitted to hospital with a guarded prognosis was also involved.

The Settebagni Traffic Police is investigating the causes of the impact and seized the tanker driven by Colapicchioni and the car driven by the 21-year-old to carry out the necessary investigations to reconstruct the dynamics.

At the moment no hypothesis is ruled out. According to initial investigations, the tragedy occurred around 2.50 am at kilometer 57/58 of the Gra, between the junction for Pontina and Via del Mare in the direction of Aurelia. The tanker and the car were traveling in the same direction when, for reasons still under investigation, they collided, causing the immediate death of Enrico Colapicchioni.

Born on 23 February 1970, the second of three children, the man had lived until 1995 in the public housing complex in Piazza Aldo Moro, in Albuccione, where he often returned to visit his family.

In the neighborhood Enrico is remembered as a great Roma fan passionate about his work, transporting fuel throughout Italy.

Since yesterday, many plant managers and colleagues have been paying homage to him and remembering him on social networks.
