This morning, in the Hopper room of Molini Marzoli, the awards ceremony for the ideas competition was held “A logo for our Local Police” won by Kiara Carlomagno and which saw the participation of 27 students.
«The idea of giving young people a job, in my opinion, is fundamental – explained the commander of the Local Police of Busto, Stefano Lanna – kids are our future and creating relationships with them means talking, listening and finding a solution to problems that can only be solved through proximity. They need to participate in institutional life, stimuli to understand what their future could be.”
Mayor Emanuele Antonelli he thanked: «It was truly a nice idea that allows us to bring citizens, in this case young people, even closer to the institutions and the Local Police. The latter is fundamental for us, yesterday we started the summer Thursdays and seeing you in the center gives an important sense of security”. And turning to the kids: “This is something that will stay with you forever.”
The Security Councilor, Salvatore Loschiavo, underlined two aspects: «The idea of the competition had been discussed and we asked ourselves if it was worth it. Now I can say that yes, it makes sense, because it is a strong element of identification; there is already the regional logo but this is that of Busto Arsizio. The second thing I want to underline is the method: we turned to schools, which are our future.” And then to the commander: «I want to thank you because this is a beautiful initiative in which you strongly believed from the first moment».
Then the commission that chose the logo was presented: Stefano Lanna, Cristina Fossati (deputy commander), Erika Otto (head of the coordination unit), Emanuela Bonecchi (head of the communication office of the Municipality), professor Giuseppe Pacciarotti and Salina Martignoni (administrative secretary).
Professor Pacciarotti was honored with a certificate and a medal from the city of Busto Arsizio for having participated. Then the certificates for the kids and the discovery of the winning logo and the winner: Kiara Carlomagno, first year Acof Olga Fiorini studentwho was given a tablet as a gift.
THE DESCRIPTION OF THE KIARA LOGO
The external shape of the logo recalls the shield as a graphic element that has always been associated with the concept of protection and defense.
The inside of the logo highlights the territorial identification, combined with the graphic one, with a representation of the outline of the City identified typographically through the image of the heraldic coat of arms of the Municipality of Busto Arsizio.
Furthermore, the wording Local Police, which identifies the logo’s affiliation, is supported by a blue band so as to make it immediate and effective to read.
The chosen font and the angle of the writing “Local Police – City of Busto Arsizio” highlight the dynamism of the Local Police and its evolution over time.
As regards the choice of colours, green was used to represent the Lombardy Region and blue which identifies the color of the Local Police uniform, with the aim of emphasizing the sense of belonging to the Local Police Corps.
