The Bank of Italy report presented in Udine in the Valduga Room of the Pn-Ud Chamber of Commerce – Friulisera

«We are happy that the Bank of Italy accepted our invitation to present the report also in Udine, thus extending direct contact with the entrepreneurial and category realities of this territory and in the headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce, “home” of over 70 thousand offices of businesses, around 92 thousand including locations, which animate, make our region vital and grow.” The president of the Pordenone-Udine Chamber of Commerce Giovanni Da Pozzo thus introduced the first presentation of the Bank of Italy report at the Chamber of Commerce headquarters in Udine, in the presence, in Sala Valduga, of the main stakeholders, representatives of the local economy (associations of category, institutional representatives, representatives of subsidiaries, entrepreneurs and professionals). Alongside the president was Marco Martella, director of the Trieste branch of the Bank of Italy and, presenting the report, Paolo Chiades and Daniel Mele, economists from the territorial economic analysis and research division of the Trieste branch of the Bank of Italy.

«The report – added Da Pozzo – provides us in detail with all the main and most up-to-date indicators that help us read and interpret our economic dimension and plan the next actions, both as entrepreneurs and as institutions». Da Pozzo highlighted «the continuing driving force of the tertiary sector and in particular of services», which according to Centro Studi Cciaa Pn-Ud data have grown by 2.1% in terms of businesses in the last year (of which + 3.1% scientific and technical professional activities, +2.4% financial and insurance activities), and “the continuation of the good performance of construction”, which marked +1.8%, again in terms of company headquarters. Da Pozzo then reported the trend of credit, which in the last year has been particularly contracted, especially towards businesses, as also underlined by the in-depth analysis of researchers at the Bank of Italy.
