This year we start with the exhibition of the Turin photographer Giorgio Cravero, one of the most talented and influential on the international “Still Life” scene and author of advertising campaigns for prestigious brands (among others Martini, Red Bull, Nespresso, and Alfa Romeo ) which will be the setting for the Festival events which will officially begin on the 9th and end on the 30th of July.

Geometries, Colors, Ètudes, Clouds: these are the sections that contain his highly innovative and experimental artistic research, in which he manages to express the sense of restlessness of contemporary man.

The exhibition will be open, with free admission, until July 13th every day from 10am to 1pm and from 5pm to 8pm.

“The third edition of Small arts festival – explains the artistic director of the exhibition, Edoardo Delle Donne – is centered on the myth of the bohemian artist. It was in the nineteenth century that the artist became the interpreter of that bourgeois and romantic myth of the bohemian extraneous to social conventions, while artistic creation became an extreme manifestation of individualism. This belief will take root in such a decisive way in the collective imagination that it will also be projected onto artists of eras very distant from fin de siècle Europe. The Festival will be held, as well as in the evocative space of the courtyard of the former San Rocco hospital, in the rooms of Palazzo Malvinni-Malvezzi, and in the municipality of Guardia Perticara, for an unprecedented theatrical performance by the Metateatro company”.

“Visual arts, cinema, theater and music are – underlines the president of the Circolo La Scaletta, Franco Di Pede – at the center of the activities of the Piccolo Festival delle Arti. After the inauguration of the exhibition of great artistic value by Giorgio Cravero, the first appointment it will be on July 9th with a speech by the art historian and artistic director of our club, Edoardo Delle Donne, on the myth of the bohemian artist. The 16 exceptional guests for the evening dedicated to cinema will be the actor, director and writer Luigi Lo Cascio, the director-screenwriter Giuseppe Stasi and the director-editor, Giancarlo Fontana. On the 19th in Guardia Perticara and the 23rd in Matera, space for the theater with the play written and directed by Emilio Andrisani and performed by the actors of MetaTeatro, the association promoted by the Circolo La Scaletta which brings together four acting schools of Matera. Closing dedicated to Music, on 30 July, with a tribute to Puccini, on the centenary of his death, by the students of the Duni Conservatory of Matera, directed by Maestro Carmine Antonio Catenazzo”.

“The collaboration between TotalEnergies Ep and the Circolo La Scaletta – communicates TotalEnergies Italia Ep – is becoming a consolidated union which has the aim of promoting and spreading knowledge of the different art forms through an exhibition which involves established artists and young talents from Lucania also in small municipalities such as Guardia Perticara. We are satisfied with the work done this year too.”
