WEDGE NEWS – The Partisan Festival of the Ecomuseo della Resistenza il Codirosso reaches its twentieth edition and will be held Sunday 16 June with the title “Ancient people, new faces”. This event intends to reiterate the temporal link kept alive by those who dedicate their past to the present of young people.
To “travel into the past without the need for suitcases, trains or airports”, we will witness the inauguration, on Rossana soil, of Giorgio Burzio’s photographic exhibition, “Gents, Valadas Occitanas”. This display of black and white shots captures moments from the past and brings them into the present.
Starting from 11.30am, there will be the presentation of the book “Seven sailors, seven nurses” by Enzo Secondo, which traces the stories, portraits and memories of Piedmontese migrants from our valleys towards the world. The author and his interesting heritage of narratives will be present.
A collective picnic will follow in the green area adjacent to Palazzo Garro, where the museum is located. As in every edition, conviviality will express itself spontaneously on tables laden with food and drinks provided by the participants. Kauss beer from the Piasco craft brewery will be available and coffee can be purchased on site.
From 3pm, “Create your rotating valley”, a workshop for families and children curated by Alessandra Parigi Cerotto, will be available at a cost of €5 per person. Places are limited, so booking is recommended.
Starting from 3.30pm, it will be possible to dance to the notes and live voices of Trigomigo, with courente and post folk revival jigs. This event enhances the cultural heritage of the Cuneo valleys also through music.
