CATANIA – At home, in the heart of Librino, he had weapons and drugs. There were two guns with ammunition and 900 grams of marijuana, 10 of hashish, complete with precision scale. For this reason, the agents of the anti-drug section of the Catania Flying Squad arrested a 50-year-old.
He is accused of illegal possession of a common firearm and possession for the purpose of dealing weed and smoking. The police, during their crime-fighting activities, learned of a storage house for weapons and drugs. So they discovered the location and went into action.
There was one semi-automatic dog-repellent pistol, a second dog-repellent pistol modified to make it suitable for fire. There was the magazine and a silencer, as well as 77 cartridges of various calibers and three additional magazines.
Furthermore, they were found in the same apartment four wraps containing 900 grams of marijuana. Then a wrapper containing hashish weighing approximately 10 g. and a perfectly functioning precision balance. All the narcotic substances found were duly collected and seized.
The weapons and their ammunition, through the collaboration of the Scientific Police officers, were secured and subjected to seizure. The arrested man was taken to Piazza Lanza.
