The Rally City of Turin edition number 39 comes in one totally renewed look. In fact, there are many new features that characterize the 2024 edition of the competition promoted by RT Motorevent. Starting from location that will host the departure, arrival and the entire headquarters which for the first time in its history will have, in the background, the Royal Palace of Venaria Reale. The town, a few kilometers from the center of Turin, enthusiastically accepted the idea of hosting the motorsport event also in anticipation of 2025 when it will be the “European City of Sport”.
The logistical location and the race route also change which, in this edition will abandon the historic Col del Lys to return to experience the tricolor atmosphere of the 90’swhen the Turin competition was important crossroads in the 2 Liter Championship and the challenge embraced the very famous streets of the Canavese area.
The roar of the engines will envelop the Turin hinterland from Friday 23 August when a LanzoIn Rolle Squarehome of the service park, are scheduled sporting and technical verification operations and in the afternoon it shakedown.
The start of the race from the heart of the historic center of Veneria Reale, a few steps from the famous Royal Palace, in a particularly evocative location which will not fail to be the ideal postcard for the presentation of the crews to the public on the morning of Saturday: the competitors from here will reach Pessinetto for the first special test “Monastery”, 14 kilometers long, which compared to previous editions will be covered in the reverse direction, before moving to the Canavese area with two special stages. The second part, “Pratiglione” of approximately 11 km, follows the route of the Ronde but will undergo some changes compared to this one and will develop from the hamlet of Santi, Carella up to Canischio. The third partial also brings to mind the challenges of the past with the test of “Borgiallo” of 7.00 km which from Bivio Nava leads to Chiesanuova and ends near Colleretto Castelnuovo.
To the modern rally it will be matched too historical.
