Liberaformazione CaterRaduno 2024: appointment in Pesaro from 27 to 30 June

The Rai Radio2 summer event supports the activities of Libera and Gruppo Abele in Ivory Coast.

From the 27 to 30 June in Pesaro 2024returns the CaterRadunothe event of the summer branded Rai Radio2 cult program launched by Caterpillar with Massimo Cirri and Sara Zambotti.

The tested mix of music, words and events in perfect radio style is ready to land in the historic center – Piazza del Popolo – and in Baia Flaminia (at Lido Pavarotti). On the programme, among others, live musical performances by Cosmo and Ditonellapiaga and the national debut of the new show by Valerio Lundini & i VazzaNikki.

There will be three days of exclusive events (free entry while seats last), in addition to Caterpillar live broadcasts from the CaterRaduno stage, in the name of culture and participation, to address current issues in close harmony with Pesaro 2024.

We will talk about sustainability with M’illumino di meno, gender equality, civil commitment with the fight against mafias: among the guests Don Ciotti of the Libera association. The event will be live on Rai Radio2, visible on digital terrestrial channel 202 and tivùsat and on RaiPlay.

During the days of the initiative there will be two Libera stands where it will be possible to purchase the CaterRaduno 2024 t-shirt created by Alessandro Baronciani.

The proceeds will be donated to support the activities of Libera and Gruppo Abele in Ivory Coast, in particular the Choco Plus project, which involves not only the creation of an artisanal chocolate production laboratory, but also the structuring of a cocoa supply chain (cultivation-transformation-sale) inspired by the principles of fair trade.

Choco plus is a project born in 2018, in a space already present at Carrefour Jeunesse (one of the structures of the Communauté Abel) and redeveloped into a laboratory.

The raw material used for the production of chocolate (dried cocoa beans) is supplied by cooperatives and small producers according to fair trade criteria (therefore respecting human rights and the environment), which is recognized at a fair price trade. Furthermore, a group of young people from disadvantaged social groups and from particularly difficult family conditions work in the laboratory.

The work of recent years has made it possible to hire 14 people and to combine chocolate production with a training and awareness service on agricultural production and the transformation of raw materials while respecting the environment and workers.
