The first day of the athletics championships took place in Fermo to award the regional junior and promising titles. Pesaro Athletic Field could not be missing with its standard bearers: regional title won by Stella Moretti who with 11 m and 10 clinched her umpteenth regional category title and is in excellent shape for the Italian Junior Championships scheduled in Rieti in the month of July. Podium among the promises in the 100 meters for Martina Paolini who with 13”15 conquers the lowest step of the podium. Good races also for the boys, above all Piero Zaffini who placed fourth among the promising players, shattering his record in the 400m: 51”17. Also present were Federico Ferrari, finalist in the 100 junior in 11”80 and student Vittoria Cecilioni who, again in the 100, stopped the clock at 13”39 and is a candidate for the regional category championships, scheduled for 22 and 23 June, for a possible prominent placement. To conclude, a good time also for the master Gianluigi Casadio who recorded a time of 12”88 again in the 100. Finally victory in the long jump promised by Matteo Mariotti with 6.88 m. Pesaro Athletic Field had also concluded the first part of the season during the week with the little ones who, while waiting to return in September, had tried their hand at games and runs on the beach on Tuesday.
