Today the Conad Centro Nord cooperative boasts in the province of Brescia, with 51 points of salea market share of 13.14% and a sales volume of 385.3 million (up 7.2% compared to 2022).
«However, we plan to open three more stores in the coming years Dello, Rovato and another in the province – reveals the CEO Ivano Ferrarini – for a total investment of over 20 million euros”. Furthermore, in the face of this operation, the coop based in Campegine (Reggio Emilia), which already counts in the Brescia area 1,745 employees, it also foresees 160 hirings.
Yesterday the shareholders’ meeting of Conad Central North (51 people from Brescia) approved the 2023 budget, which reports a sales network turnover of 2.08 billion (+6.7%), a consolidated profit of 29.1 million and a net worth of 383 million.« In a year characterized by persistent and at times double-digit inflation – underlines Ferrarini -, we managed to consolidate the main growth factors thanks to the extraordinary work on our commercial brand and the initiatives to support the purchasing power of Italians, both in the food sector and in other consumer goods sectors in which we have been investing for years, such as parapharmacies, opticians, pet stores and fuel distribution”. From this perspective, the CEO he anticipated that the Board of Directors is also defining a three-year investment plan dedicated to renovations of some stores.
«This is a further investment package of 10/15 million – explains Ferrarini -, which will largely concern the shops in the province of Brescia and which will provide for a strengthening of the plants from the point of view of economic and environmental sustainability».
The numbers
In this regard, it should be noted that in the three-year plan 2024-26 of Conad Centro Nord, a total of investments for 261 million with new employment opportunities for 845 people, the installation of 44 new plants for the production of renewable energy which will be added to the 53 already active, bringing the overall power of the plants available to the cooperative to over 9 MW.
The shareholders’ meeting he then renewed the cooperative’s corporate roles. The CEO Ivano Ferrarini, the president Luca Signorini and the vice presidents Rosanna Cattini and Maurizio Comi were confirmed at the top, while the Board of Directors saw the entry of five new members, following the departure of three directors, including the Attilio Garzetti from Brescia who, out of emotion, only managed to thank and greet all his colleagues on the Board of Directors with a video message.
