Business world: sport under the lens

CREMONA – Tomorrow Mondo Business returns to newsstands, the economic magazine as a gift to the readers of the newspaper La Provincia di Cremona and Crema. The cover story for the month of June turns the spotlight on sport, a very popular theme, expressed in many aspects but with particular attention to the economy that revolves around sporting activity and also to the economy that sport can generate, in particular tourism.

The cover story, as usual full of reports and interviews, highlights how Cremona and the province are on the podium in Italy for ‘sportsmanship index’ (third behind Trento and Trieste). The interview with Oreste Perri, coach of the national canoe team and former mayor of Cremona, is worth reading. As a true man of sport, Perri tackles all aspects of sporting activity: he talks about values, the concept of challenge with others but above all with oneself, of growth through effort.

Another interesting aspect concerns the ‘hunger’ for spaces to practice sport, a theme that is intertwined with that of sports facilities. The interviews with Luca Zanacchi, councilor of Cremona, and others Walter Della Frera delegate for sport in Crema give an overview of the situation in the two main centers of the province. Sport is also social inclusion and Mondo Business dedicates some services to basking, wheelchair tennis, inclusive bowls and blind five-a-side football. The focus on padel, a phenomenon of the moment, practiced by thousands of Cremonese, is unmissable.

Lots of space on the cover for companies operating in the sports sector: stories of entrepreneurship, almost always family-run, of excellence and of international markets conquered thanks to the quality of the products. The magazine ends with the ‘Showcase of associations’, a section in which stories of companies are told but also in which highly topical issues with respect to the industrial, artisan and agricultural sectors are developed. The Barometer of the Cremonese economy is unmissable.
