The third edition of the Miglio di Mestre, scheduled for tomorrow evening in Mestre (starting at 8pm) will also have a strong social as well as sporting value this year, as the opening event of the ‘Via Piave Summer Garden – Music & Food ‘the long program (14 June – 18 August) of events, concerts, street food, literary meetings and events for adults and children, organized by the municipal administration in the Gardens of via Piave, as a form of valorisation and entertainment of this district of Mestre .
The Miglio di Mestre is organized by Venicemarathon in collaboration with the Municipality of Venice, the Italian Athletics Federation – Provincial Committee of Venice.
The Miglio will take place along Via Piave, with a first leg, halfway point and return and will have as its headquarters, precisely, the Giardini di Piave which will host the stands of the pre and post race activities, within a context of music it’s party.
The evening will begin at 8pm with the mini mile (500 metres) reserved for the novice categories and will continue with the various heats of the mile (1,609 metres), reserved for the master, absolute and youth categories. Registrations can be made directly on the race pitch starting from 6pm. Those registered will receive the official t-shirt offered by the 1/6H sports shop and the Alì Supermarkets, as well as obviously the race bib with chip and the final refreshment.
