The 27th edition of the festival ended with a final performance at the President theater in Piacenza Luigi Paraboschi dialect school.

An edition that had more than 70 participants with grammar and vocabulary lessons and whose teachers were Andrea Bergonzi and Cesare Ometti. “The participants in the lessons – said Andrea Bergonzi – followed the lessons with interest and attention. We are very happy with the outcome of this edition.”

The dialect school was created in collaboration with the Bank of Piacenza, the Piacenza and Vigevano Foundation and with the free patronage of the Municipality of Piacenza. At the end of the lessons, 19 participants engaged in constant rehearsals for two months, directed by Cesare Ometti, to mainly stage a well-known but challenging text: “Allegra!” taken from “Visita di condolanze” by Achille Campanile, which Ometti oversaw the translation and adaptation. “It is no coincidence that there is this essay tonight – said razdur Danilo Anelli – because with this evening the curtain falls on the activity of the 2023-2024 financial year, both at the President Theater and at our headquarters. A very intense social year with many different initiatives. Over the years the essay has brought new actors, poets and we hope that they will give their contribution to keeping our dialect alive.”

Among people with already some stage experience there were several who went on stage for the first time. So much emotion, but they all reacted to the fear with courage and with the preparation that director Cesare Ometti was able to diligently instill in the participants.

An acting that the large audience present widely appreciated with long applause, even on stage. “I am very satisfied – said Cesare Ometti – with the work done in which the participants in the essay followed me in the tests with profound dedication and attachment”. Participants: Emma Agosti, Pietro Agosti, Fabio Agosti, Pinuccio Berzeri, Désirée Bongiorni, Roberta Cammi, Simona Cervini, Ivan Chiesa, Silvia Cristalli, Monica Dallacasagrande, Annamaria Faccini, Nadia Fermi, Annalisa Missieri, Adamo Rigamondi, Marisanna Speroni, Paolo Tramelli , Claudio Veneziani, Jeremias Rafael Vieira and Monica Zaffignani.

In the staging, the “young” actors attempted a tragicomic text that revolved around the continuous game of misunderstandings. A widow receives condolences from some acquaintances who come to visit her following the death of her husband. While they are there, however, they discover that a friend of the deceased appears to have also died and begin to cry for him. The indignant widow notices this and, aided by her sister, demands that everyone cry for her poor husband instead. Of course it is only a misunderstanding, because the friend of the deceased is absolutely not dead. As soon as those present realize the big misunderstanding they will start laughing, ignoring the poor widow
