The Mayor of Cosenza Franz Caruso expresses solidarity for the intimidation suffered by the Mayor of Catanzaro, Fiorita and the general director of AMC Spa
“It is disturbing and of serious concern yet another act of intimidation that was perpetrated today against my colleague and friend, Mayor of Catanzaro, Nicola Fiorita and the general director of AMC SpA, Luca Brancaccio”. This was stated by the Mayor of Cosenza Franz Caruso in a statement in which he strongly stigmatizes the incident, expressing solidarity and closeness to the Mayor Fiorita and the general director Brancaccio.
“What happened – underlines Franz Caruso – must lead, once again, to reflection, as it embodies a modus operandi, towards those who administer public affairs, which is unacceptable and which daily places the Mayors, but also other figures who they work for the community and at the service of the citizen, in the sights of unscrupulous people who, hiding behind anonymity, think they can intimidate those who, with transparency and in the name of legality, work for the common good.
Today’s vile and reprehensible intimidation makes us understand that the script repeats itself cyclically and that, despite all the efforts that can be made, there continues to be a lack of an adequate response and a strong awareness that can lead to a reversal of direction. In expressing unconditional solidarity with Nicola Fiorita and Luca Brancaccio, we invite them to continue the commitment they are incessantly making to the service of the city of Catanzaro, in the hope that whoever is responsible for this unspeakable action can be identified and identified as soon as possible brought to justice.”
