“They will take a seat in the administration, we will win”

Alessandro Magercandidate for mayor of the civic coalition for Sanremopresented today the electoral success achieved in the last votes by candidates under 35 of his lists. In particular, Giovanni Bestagno stood out, candidate on the Idea Sanremo list, who with 388 preferences was the most voted among the young people and on his list.

“One of the results that makes me most proud of the first electoral round – explained Mager – are the approximately 1,300 preferences received by the 22 candidates under 35 of our civic coalition for Sanremo. This is an extraordinary number. To give an order of magnitude, there are lists of national political parties in which all the candidates, together, received less than 1,000 preferences. I was convinced that a great result would come from our young people. For over 6 months I have been talking to them every day so that they can convey to me the demands of the world of their peers from Sanremo, all of which have been incorporated into the program of our civic coalition. Even the responses received directly during the events we organised, not only aperitifs and parties, but also a series of meetings with professionals to address the problems of teenagers, university students, young couples and young workers, were very interesting and they allowed me to understand the needs of the young people of this city. I have everything inside me. The 23 and 24 June we can do something truly great and capitalize on the enthusiasm and preparation of these exceptional young people, at least 3 or 4 of whom will directly take up positions in the administration in the event of our victory. And we will make it.”

The candidates were present at the event Luca Baldassarre, Francesco Ciuffi And Giulia Sepe (Soul), Giovanni Bestagno And Fabiana Valenziano (Idea Sanremo), Lucrezia Dalmasso (Sanremo Forum) e Lorenzo Sicignano (Sanremo al Centro).

“I thank Alessandro who actively involved me from the first day of this electoral campaign and made me feel at home in a difficult environment like that of politics,” declared Giulia Sepe. “In these months of the electoral campaign, all the candidates have insistently stated that they would listen to the requests of young people, and that they would ensure them adequate representation in the administration. It seems to me that the result of this first electoral round makes it clear that only Alessandro Mager was able to keep this promise and will keep it in the future. I look forward to continuing to work with Alessandro over the next 5 years.”

“I am very proud of the result achieved by me and my friends from the civic coalition,” continued Lorenzo Sicignano. “With the initiatives we have carried out in these months of the electoral campaign, we have listened to the world of young people and we have developed concrete solutions, all of which have been incorporated into the coalition programme. I dedicated myself mainly to cultural initiatives and events, such as the evening at Monte Bignone to admire the Northern Lights, which was a huge success. I will be at Alessandro’s side to cultivate the cultural proposal of the city of Sanremo in the coming years.”

“The city gave an extraordinary response to the young people’s candidacy and I am deeply grateful. The reasons for the success lie in a project that started a long time ago, in which Alessandro involved me from the first moment. I believe that those who accuse Alessandro Mager of not representing innovation and change are not in good faith. Never before had there been such a response from young people to a candidacy for mayor and such a desire for innovation. We young people from Mager, who thanks to the preferences obtained will sit directly in the administration, will be the guarantee of this innovation. Alessandro Mager has directly worked with me and all of us to create a permanent discussion table with the city’s young people. On 23 and 24 June, vote for Alessandro Mager to ensure that the voice of young people is the fulcrum of the future administration”, concluded Giovanni Bestagno.
