Vie Zannona and Podestà, resurfacing today and tomorrow

After having completed the asphalt work in via Ponte San Giorgio and via Viazza, today and tomorrow, in the time slot from 6am to 5pm, the asphalting work will continue in the area of ​​via Zannona and via Podestà. These two roads will be closed to traffic only

exceptions for residents and emergency vehicles. Warnings will be installed in the surrounding streets

jobs and diversions. Changes to the road system will be indicated near the affected section

of intervention using temporary construction site signs.

The lot of works is part of the interventions relating to the restoration of the roads damaged during the floods of May 2023, recently approved within the ‘Project for the safety of the valley side forest roads’.

The document, developed by the technicians of the Infrastructure Design and Maintenance Service of Faenza, of the Public Works Area, involves the execution of road maintenance interventions in various sections of the Forese road system on the valley side of the city of Faenza which have been affected, directly or indirectly, by flood phenomena. In particular, the project, which involves a

financing of 1 million and 250 thousand euros from the commissioner structure for the flood emergency,

concerns the safety of via San Vincenzo, via San Domenico di Cesato, via del Fiume, via Palazzone, via Zannona, via Ponte San Giorgio, via Fabbrerie, via Podestà, via Argine Montone, via Canova, via Parlanta and via Viazza.

The interventions involve milling the old wearing surface, particularly in the areas

joints of the asphalt in the center of the road to avoid the creation of speed bumps. Later it will come
