After graduating in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Bari and subsequent specialization in Psychiatry, Dr. Iovine – who can boast a substantial teaching activity and as author and co-author of numerous scientific publications – since 2005 has been principal investigator in various multicentre, national and international clinical trials on the treatment of schizophrenia, depression and of PTSD.
Member of the Italian Society of Psychiatry, Criminology and Eating Psychopathology, in 2017 he obtained a Master’s degree in “Forensic rehabilitation and psychotherapeutic treatment for mentally ill offenders” and in 2020 he obtained the Managerial Training Certificate for Managers Healthcare workers in charge of the management of complex structures of companies and bodies of the health service of the Puglia region, organized by CURSuS – Regional University Coordination for Higher Education in Health and Social Sciences.
Medical director psychiatrist from 1 April 2000 to 31 December 2006, at the Mental Health Department of the former AUSL Ba/1, since 1 January 2007 he has held the position of medical director continuously responsible for the Mental Health Center of Andria .
Since 2014 he has also worked as a medical director and psychiatrist at the Eating Disorders Clinic of the Mental Health Department of the ASL Bt.
