“Coro Sine Nomine” from Teramo performed in the Vatican at St. Peter’s Basilica – ekuonews.it

TERAMO – The experience experienced last Thursday by was evocative and stimulating Sine Nomine Choir of Teramo, directed by Ettore Sisinowho performed in Rome, at St. Peter’s Basilicaas part of the celebrations organized for the five hundredth anniversary of the birth of Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, one of the greatest composers of sacred polyphonic music and the greatest representative of the Schola Romana of the sixteenth century.

The Choir – composed of 35 singers – performed a moment of spiritual elevation by proposing motets by Palestrina, preceded by a spiritual reflection on the text of the songs and, subsequently, animated the Eucharistic celebration with the music of the Renaissance composer and the other composers of the Schola Romana.
