Rimini, 13 June 2024 – A column of smoke rose into the sky above the Rimini fair. A column of smoke caused by the fire that started this afternoon from 3pm about it broke out on the roof of the pavilion A1. A fire he caused a gash in the roof paved with photovoltaic panels from which the spark which generated the flames, which for a period were also fueled and made to blaze by the strong wind.
The causes that led to the generation of the outbreak and it cannot be ruled out that the water bomb which may have damaged the photovoltaic system on the roof in some way.

In any case, immediately after the rising of the column of smokethey were informed of the incident fire fighters of the provincial command of Rimini, who intervened in the Ieg spaces en masse, with four teams in addition to the support of the carabinieri, who arrived at the fair with two gazelles.
The operations of the firefighters they proceeded with the use of the ladder truck and the tank, both inside and outside the fair. Thanks to the timely intervention, the firefighters were able to tame the flames in about an hourpreventing the fire from spreading further fueled by the wind and thus causing more serious damage than that already caused.
In fact, after a very first estimate of the emergency services that intervened, the fire would have damaged some photovoltaic panels as well as the wooden structure of the attic. The assessment after the incident, however, is still to be done, even if the trade fair itself immediately after the incident made it known that: “The pavilion was empty at the time of the fire. The activity at the Fair has not been suspended. The damage to the roof is modest and will be fully assessed in the next few hours.”
So the fire did not cause any injuries or further problems, considering that there are no events taking place in the Ieg spaces at the moment. The incident, however, did not fail to arouse great concern among citizensimmediately after the first blaze triggering a series of reports and comments on social media from users to find out what had started the fire at the top of the roof of pavilion A1 of the Rimini fair.
