Over one million for training, technical assistance and promotion. Another 500 thousand euros to beekeepers for defense, repopulation and purchase of machinery
Important tenders issued by the Tuscany Region for the 2024/2025 year designed to address the difficult moment due to climate change that the beekeeping sector is going through.
With a million and 20 thousand euros the Region supports the interventions carried out by the most representative beekeeping associations. These funds will finance training initiatives, industry promotion and technical assistance.
Furthermore, another 500 thousand euros they will be allocated directly to beekeepers for interventions to combat diseases, repopulation of bees, rationalization of transhumance and purchase of machinery and production management systems.
The first callwhich concerns the actions implemented by the associated forms, will be published in the Burt of 19 June 2024. Applications can be submitted from the following day until 12 July.
«Regarding the 2023/2024 year, which ends on 30 June, the Region has fully financed the applications submitted – states the Agriculture councilor Stefania Saccardi –. At the same time, the notices on the actions carried out by beekeepers are being prepared and will be released as soon as possible.”
