RUNNING ALONG THE SILE, JUNE 20TH IS HERE
THE 5TH RUN
The running event that debuted successfully this year is back
last: two routes, of 5.5 and 10 kilometres, at sunset, between
naturalistic beauties of Quinto di Treviso
Quinto (Treviso), 13 June 2024 – Running between the Sile and the Cervara Oasis, between the Botanical Garden
and the “fontanassi” that dot this part of the Treviso countryside. Thursday 20th
June, in Quinto di Treviso, the 5th Run, a non-traditional running event, returns
competitive that debuted successfully in 2023 and promises to grow this year
further, involving a large number of enthusiasts.
Organized by the Asd Divieto di Sosta in collaboration with the municipal administration and
the Civil Protection, the 5th Run will develop on two partially renewed routes of 5.5 and
10 kilometers. The departure will take place at 7.45pm in Piazza Roma, in front of the town hall.
Runners and simple walkers will not miss the opportunity to participate in an event
which will take them to places of great naturalistic charm. The route will be ideally
traced by the Sile river, but there will be a passage inside the splendid Oasis
Cervara, a small natural reserve (25 hectares) which protects an exceptional marshy environment
beauty, wildlife refuge and place of conservation of the river’s spontaneous flora
longest resurgence in Europe.
Particularly evocative, then, is the passage through the Botanical Garden
Tognana-Tegon of Santa Cristina and the passage next to numerous springs (i
so-called “fountains”). The charm of the sunset will do the rest.
“Last year, in the inaugural edition, we almost had 500 participants – explains the
president of the ASD No Parking, Raffaello Codato -. The event was appreciated by
everyone and we think that this year, having also delayed the departure by half an hour, the
participation will be even broader. The route is almost entirely devoid of roads
asphalted, it’s a marvel. Anyone who loves outdoor physical activity can’t miss it.”
Participation is open to all. The meeting will be at 6.45pm, individual registrations yes
they will receive on site until a few minutes before the start. While groups are invited to pre-register
numerous. Appointment on June 20th.
