ROVIGO – Double competitive commitment for the Skating Club Rovigo last weekend. The Austrian trip ended on Sunday 9 June which saw the athletes from Rovigo once again involved in the European Cup after the splendid Portuguese experience at the beginning of April. From June 6th to Worgl (Austria) they took to the track accompanied by the coach Alberto Ponzetto 13 skaters with truly commendable results starting from the under 13s (the international categories were competed) with the first position of Giorgia Pigatothe third of Aurora Gabban and the fourth position of Sofia Venturini, while in the men’s combined triumph Ettore Baretta and second Davide Zambon, all the result of the great results obtained in the three tests available. In the “Cadets” great fourth final position for Anna Vallin, bad lucky Leonardo Zaniratoeleventh due to a fall, who nevertheless took third position in the 500 meter sprint.
In “Youth”, good Elena Ponzetto, Ester Fagan, Isabel Dobreva, Asia Pigato in addition to Andrea Formaggio who were able to compete with opponents from all over the continent. He closes in the Senior Yasmine Spada in constant growth. “It was a great trip – comments manager Diego Guidetti – demanding and well prepared over the previous weeks. Applause to the coaches who built this experience with 13 athletes present who did well despite a bit of bad luck in some tests due to various falls that affected their performance. We returned home truly enriched.”
As for the national camp, the event took place on Sunday 9 June Vangadina Trophy racing with Avis, valid as the fourth stage of Grand Prix Youth, with another large group of 33 green and blue standard bearers who took fourth place in the club rankings. In the very young, triumph of Dario Previato, gold in the combined ranking (first in all three race distances), who participated together with Alessandro Galuppo and Marta Negrello. Going up the category, the performance of Milo Schiesaro and Gabriel Braga in males with poi Anita Grandi, Matilde Cocchieri, Anna Marangoni, Alice Visentin, Claudia Saccardin, Francesca and Vittoria Balaustra, Ada Oprea, Adele Campaci, Cristal Meo, Matilde Cibin, Sofia Scarinzi and Viola Imbevaro in females.
In the Boys 12 fifth position for Alessandro Franceschetti in the 2,000 meters in line, bronze for Aurora Meo in the same distance which adds up to the fifth position in the 200 sprint, with encouraging performances Wissal Agdid. In the Boys the bronze stands out Sebastiano Schiesaro in a long race as well as Nadir Agdid, Lorenzo Marangoni, Gianmaria Bergamin, Mattia Roccato, Giorgia Girardi, Martina Negri, Viola Ronconi, Mariasole Visentin, Francesca Maria Biston, Matilda Morello, and Giorgia Borella.
Now the appointment is for the great youth competitive commitment with the 2024 Tiezzi Trophy which will be held in Fanano from 13 to 16 June.
