Student house, times are getting longer

The Robin Hood association has once again raised questions regarding the construction of the Teramo Student House

After the recent declarations of the president of the ADSU and the Rector, it emerged that the structure, for which financing had been announced in 2022, will only be ready for 2026.

The association recalled that “during the August press conference, held at the former Teramo hospital, now a university building and future Student House, the director of works and the technicians presented a detailed timetable and provided updates on the work in progress . However, a visit to the structure revealed discrepancies between what was communicated and the reality of the facts, in particular regarding the connecting tunnel, the installation of which had been declared completed and included in the costs, despite it being evident that the works had not been carried out . It was also announced that four companies were at work and that the contract for the construction of the second lot of the structure would be assigned in January, with assembly expected in April. To date, none of these developments have materialized.”

The Robin Hood association emphasizes the true objective that should guide the ADSU and the technician responsible for the construction site: completing the work in the shortest possible time. The association questions the meaning of prolonging the time and spreading untruthful communications, asking for respect for the university students waiting for the structure and for the city of Teramo. In response to these delays and lack of transparency, Robin Hood has announced that it will lodge an appeal with the Court of Auditors.
