The champions of Piedmont in all their splendor let themselves go to the well-deserved celebrations after 90 sweaty and painful minutes which finally handed them the Regional cup. There Freedom is champion of Piedmont and this is due to the entire team, a group that has shown great harmony on the pitch throughout the season, giving its best in the most important match, in which for the first time since September it defeats its rivalsTurin Academy.
Freedom remained behind them throughout the season, never managing to gain points in direct clashes with the grenades. But in this new, last opportunity to change the course of events, the girls of Marco Leo they manage to break the curse that has been going on since the June 2023 final and defeat the Academy with a convincing and superior game, which therefore earns them the cup.
The honors of the victory must be given to the entire team and to Leo’s leadership who reversed the trend of the entire season in a single match, the one that really counted. However, it is necessary to recognize particular merits the strongest attacking couple of the Women’s team, Nicole Sarale and Martina Macagnothe two top scorers of the Under 17s with 56 and 40 seasonal goals respectively (only Anna Costamagna, Turin Academy, stands between them with his 42 centres), who delivered the victory to the team with their umpteenth goals. They compensate each other perfectly with their technical characteristics, the bomber and the playmaker, proving lethal to any team faced.
