Latina, the Nautilus Ensemble arrives at the Cambellotti Arena on Saturday

Over the weekend in the Arena of the Cambellotti Museum, new shows for “Novecento. A century to discover.” Next Saturday, from 9 pm, the Nautilus Ensemble, directed by Flavio Troiani, will present “The Talisman of Berar”, a musical fairy tale for adults and children set in a fantastic setting. On Sunday 16 June, the Margoni Duo (9pm) will perform original songs and transcriptions for violin and guitar, from Paganini to Piazzolla.
The “Twentieth Century” exhibition continues. A century to discover”, organized by the Municipality of Latina, the Duilio Cambellotti Museum and the Campus Internazionale di Musica Foundation, in the Arena of the Civic Museum.
Characterized by a great variety of programs – intended to bring a large and intergenerational audience closer to the music and cultural heritage preserved in the Cambellotti museum – on Saturday 15 June it will present the show “The Talisman of Berar”, a musical fairy tale in a single act, with music by Flavio Troiani and text by Matteo Fianco. Musical pieces, images and the voice of Katia Nani will animate the protagonist characters of this compelling story with wizards, nymphs, witches and warriors and many twists and pacifying implications. It will be presented by an all-wind formation, the Nautilus Ensemble, which brings together professional Italian musicians and brings together the experience built up in groups always engaged in the study of classical, chamber and orchestral music. The Ensemble will be directed by Flavio Troiani.

On Sunday 16 June the violinist Ivos Margoni – winner in 2018 of the first edition of the Riccardo Cerocchi Prize and today considered among the most talented violinists of his generation – with his father Luca Margoni, will present “Magia decacorde”, a program of original pieces for violin and guitar, such as Paganini’s Sonata concertata – a light composition, at times lyrical, at times ironic -, and transcriptions for the two instruments of famous pieces such as Méditation da Thaïs by Massenet, La Zingaresca by De Sarasate, Béla’s Romanian dances Bartók, De Falla’s Danza Española. Songs taken from Histoire du Tango by Astor Piazzolla will close the concert.
