HYPERINGthe Tier IV Compliant Datacenter, ISO 27001 certified and ACN (formerly Agid) qualified, owned by Fastnet, important Service Farm in the Marche, has become the first ENable Site point in Italya new service that Namex, the main internet hub of Central and Southern Italy based in Rome, has decided to develop for the first time with a consortium company. An important project for the Marche and Italian territory, which arises from the synergy between Fastnet, the Marche Region and Namex, which will facilitate an efficient and safe relocation of the IT assets of companies on the Adriatic backbone and will guarantee the development of new IT technologies and IaaS, PAAS solutions , SAAS, enablers for the challenges of Industry 5.0 and AI.

Creating an IXP Edge in Ancona in our HYPERING datacenter, which has a Tier IV compliant security level and a direct presence at the two main data exchange points in Italy (MIX and Namex) reached with a 100Gbps fiber ring, means enable new offering opportunities for further services, both for the users who use them and for the actors who provide them, in all cases in which the speed of the applications represents an important factor”, declares Filippo Loretoni, CEO of Fastnet. “Our data center will, in fact, be a neutral interconnection node open to all local ISPs in the Marche and neighboring regions and to national ones, and also to national and international Hosting and Cloud Providers. The growing demand for connection at the edge (EDGE) dictated by the rapid acceleration of the digitalisation of businesses, schools and public administrations, combined with the growing consumption of live and on-demand streaming content, requires greater capillarity of network infrastructures across the entire National territory. The contribution of the infrastructure installed in Ancona at HYPERING, Fastnet’s Data Center, allows faster response times for internet services thanks to lower signal latency and the possibility of storing digital content closer. In this way, an efficient and safe relocation of IT assets is promoted and the infrastructures of Namex consortium members who decide to make this type of investment are enhanced.
