On Thursday 20 June the Facsal intergenerational center “Seniors and Children Together” opens to the city. On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the Center managed by Unicoop, an information gazebo on the organization and intergenerational activities of the services will be set up throughout the day on the Public Passeggio, with the possibility, for those who wish, of visiting them. Starting from 3pm, in the Public Passeggio area in front of the centre, old-fashioned games will be offered to all children by Ludobus Truccioli Monelli.
“We invite our fellow citizens – says the president of Unicoop Valentina Suzzani – to come to the Public Walk to get to know the elderly and children up close together and we invite parents to participate with the children in the afternoon games”. Inaugurated 15 years ago, Elderly and Children Together is an intergenerational centre, unique in Italy, in which a retirement home, a day center for the elderly and a nursery coexist and aims to be a point of exchange of experiences between elderly people still in able to offer society its skills and the growing new generations. In the services there are affiliated places and private market places. The Abi center is a flagship project of the Strategic Plan for Piacenza Vision 2020 promoted by the Municipality of Piacenza, the Province of Piacenza and the Chamber of Commerce, with the collaboration of the Piacenza and Vigevano Foundation and Credit Agricole.
