ANCONA – The Fatto&Diritto cultural association, with the patronage of the council of the Ancona Bar Association, of the Marche Psychologists Association, of the Social Cooperative Society “Il Faro”, organizes a free meeting open to citizens, entitled “Women in the vortex of violence. Testimonies and tools for getting back up”. gender, currently responsible for the territorial network of the Anti-Violence Center of the province of Ancona managed by the “Women and Justice” Association, Elisa Giusti, social worker for the Cooperativa Sociale Il Faro which manages the Anti-violence Center of Macerata, Francesca Pigliapoco, psychologist, psychotherapist for the Il Faro Social Cooperative, for the Anti-violence Center of Macerata, in a shelter home and in a semi-autonomous home, Francesca Santorelli, associate of “Percorso Donna” aps, former president, expert in gender violence and Sabrina Leo, victim of violence . The Conference aims to place the figure of women at the center of attention, from a social and psychological point of view and, in this sense, the operators of the Anti-Violence Centers will intervene and will discuss the protection path in the shelter home and in the semi-autonomous home, of the activation of an autonomy and self-determination project, of the regional network for the prevention and fight against gender violence, with practical instructions and a focus on today’s realities.
Dr. Pigliapoco will analyze the recognition of the various forms of violence, the awareness of the experiences and trauma suffered by women, as well as the phenomenon of secondary victimization. From a legal point of view, the lawyer Francesca Santorelli will intervene, who will analyze cases of gender violence and the tools available to those who report, also with the support of the institutions, albeit with some critical issues. There will also be a direct testimony from Sabrina Leo, who will tell her experience and how, by reporting her, she managed to save herself from an abusive man and find serenity. At the end of the conference, the manager of the “Woman in defense” project, Massimo Monina and the president of the FIJLKAM Regional Committee, Marco Masi, together with the technical teacher Sara Biondo, will present some dangerous situations in which women can find themselves and advice for get out and defend yourself. An exhibition by the artist Federica Toppan will also be set up in the conference room, which will display her sculptures inspired by the theme of gender violence. The meeting will be moderated by television journalist Daniele Andreani. For lawyers, 3 training credits are recognised.
